A- Available or Single? Neither.
B- Best Friend? T and my sister
C- Cake or Pie? How about a slice of each? (but only if they're made from real ingredients--no trans fats, canned fruit, fake flavorings, etc. please) With ice cream and whipped cream.
D- Drink of Choice? Margarita (with fresh-squeezed lime juice and decent tequila), Mojito (also with fresh-squeezed lime juice), a Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand, or a Sierra Nevada Pale Ale.
E- Essential Item? A writing implement and paper (technically, that’s two essential items, but what’s one without the other?).
F- Favorite Color? Any shade of green
G- Gummi Bears or Worms? Bears. You can toss a handful of gummy bears in your mouth, but just try tossing a handful of gummy worms in your mouth.
H- Hometown? Denver. I've felt at home here since I arrived in 1995.
I- Indulgence? Dark chocolate covered caramels with a sprinkling of salt
J- January or February? January. I am generally euphoric for the first couple weeks because I’m excited about a new year starting. I do an elaborate reflection on the year that’s just ended and set goals for the new year. I feel refreshed and calm.
K- Kids and names? Lily.
L- Life is incomplete without...? Companionship and laughter.
M- Marriage Date? March 16, 1992.
N- Number of Siblings? A sister, 18 months behind me (she says younger, I say behind).
O- Oranges or Apples? Gingercrisp apples. More autumnal (see S).
P- Phobias/Fears? Premature death of myself or loved ones. Meetings without agendas. Small spaces.
Q- Favorite Quote? “Be the change you want to see in the world.”
R- Reasons to smile? Lily. We have a woman Speaker of the House. A woman is running for president. I finished my Ph.D.
S- Season? Autumn. I love the way the air changes in Autumn from humid to crisp.
T- Tag 3 people? Doug, senioritis, and Parts-n-Pieces.
U- Unknown Fact About Me? I almost flunked out of the 11th grade.
V- Vegetable You Hate? George W. Bush.
W-Worst Habit? Getting hung up on dates. If T is telling a story and says, “a couple summers ago. . . “ I’ll interrupt and say, “No, it was September 2004.” I always know when things happened and I feel compelled to correct dates that are vague or incorrect, even if correcting the date will have absolutely no bearing whatsoever on anything. It’s very annoying.
X- Xrays You've Had? Lots and lots of MRIs, angiograms, and CT scans related to my AVM. Too many to count. And a chest X-ray in May 2005. And dental X-rays—maybe 25.
Y- You're Favorite Food? Cheese, dark chocolate, fresh raspberries. Can’t pick just one.
Z- Zodiac? Gemini, of course.
