(rules as they come to me)

    1. If a meeting has a specified end time, leave at that time, even if the meeting isn't over.
    2. If a meeting does not have a specified end time, call the meeting convener and ask when the meeting will end. Leave at the specified end time.
    3. Bring something to work on in case the meeting starts late.

    excellent day

    posted Saturday, 3 February 2007
This has been a most excellent day. I got to work out for a full 90 minutes (quite a luxury—I usually work out for 45-60 minutes in the morning before Lily is up, always aiming for 90 minutes, but seldom making it because of all the various microdisasters that seem to happen in the morning when a four-year old is a member of the household); spent half the day making a birthday cake for a friend (an unbeatable combination—cake, baking, and friends); and my official diploma arrived today.

I love days like that! Nothing can go wrong, you feel like you are living in one of those "perfect" days of those television show lifestyles. KUDOS!

It is such a great feeling to actually be able to do what you intended to do while still caring for a four year-old. My son will be four this month on the twenty-sixth. They are very hungry for attention and we seldom find time for ourselves don't we. Very happy to read that you had such a good day!

congrats on the diploma and working out for the full 90 minutes! I work at a gym and I am astonished at how mean beefy macho men only spend 20 minutes working out...If I 'm fast it takes me 75 minutes
