The semester ends in two and a half weeks. In addition to finishing up things with my classes, which will involve lots of responding to student work and posting of grades, I need to
- Write up formal recommendations for the Tutors without Borders program that my strategic planning committee piloted. I have a rough draft and have received feedback from two people and am waiting on feedback from one more person before I revise the recommendations.
- Review the proofs of the WAC handbook revision.
- Write up one more observation of a part-time instructor’s class.
- Facilitate two more meetings related to Tutors without Borders: a wrap-up meeting for all instructors who had tutors in their classes this semester and a meeting of faculty from different departments across the college to develop a menu of topics that Writing Center, Library, and Math tutors can help with.
- Help facilitate the English Department’s Belated Birthday Celebration for Shakespeare (May 3).
And I'm sure more things will come up before the semester is done. I'm tired. What would happen if I just didn't do some of the things on this list?
