There are two non-academic blogs I just can’t stay away from lately:
- the “blog” of unnecessary ”quotation marks." This blog cracks me up every single time. I love/hate misplaced punctuation, particularly quotation marks and apostrophes. My sister and I still fall into fits of giggles every time we reminisce about a time we went to a shopping mall in a rough part of town and saw a sign threatening us that if we brought firearms into the mall, we’d be “arrested.” We imagined the police showing up and chasing us around making air quotes. So anyway, the photos and commentary about errant quotation marks at the “blog” of unnecessary ”quotation marks” is right up my alley.
- tartelette. Oh, my. I swoon, my mouth waters, I am overcome with desire whenever I go to this blog, which is all about the most outrageously delicious looking desserts. This blog is like porn for me—I just look at the pictures and fantasize. Oh, my.
