    Surviving Work

    (rules as they come to me)

    1. If a meeting has a specified end time, leave at that time, even if the meeting isn't over.
    2. If a meeting does not have a specified end time, call the meeting convener and ask when the meeting will end. Leave at the specified end time.
    3. Bring something to work on in case the meeting starts late.

    What I'm doing & not doing this summer

    The BlogHer conference (July 28-29) looks like it will be very cool. The "Room of Your Own" sessions sound particularly interesting. Of course, I won't be there. Nope. I'll be working on my dissertation. Sigh. The good news is that I have a complete draft of chapter 1 and partial drafts of chapters 2 and 3, all of which I'll be sending to my advisor very soon.
