After a lovely weekend spent mostly outdoors, being inside all day at my computer is just not working for me. I am completely uninterested in the work I need to do. Sigh. Here are some random thoughts:
- Lily is showing a keen interest in “helping out” around the house lately. This weekend, for example, after a small dinner party, I was washing dishes and Lily kept bugging me to give her something to do. I was suggesting things like coloring, looking at picture books, etc., and she finally said, “How come YOU get to have all the fun washing dishes and I have to just do something boring?!” The light bulb went on in my head—she wanted to do dishes! I’m no fool, so I set up a little dishwashing station for her and let her wash the non-breakable items. She made a huge mess, but hey, why would I want to discourage her from washing dishes?
- It’s unbelievable how much time I’ve spent customizing my google home page.
- I downloaded IE 7 and now have multiple home pages. Fabulous.
- The Washington Mutual saga continues. Although I corrected my $40 mistake in early March and have bank statements to show that WaMu has received all of my payments, they sent me a certified letter on Friday warning me that if I don’t resolve things within 30 days, they will begin foreclosure proceedings. Let’s just review the facts: I have made all my payments; they have received all my payments; their Customer Service people have confirmed with me that WaMu has received my payments. And they are threatening foreclosure? How do companies like this stay in business?
- Does anyone know what happened to George H. Williams? Are the Teaching Carnivals dead? If I host one on May 15, will anyone read it?
- Our first spring hail storm just started right now!
